…through Koch Records E1 Music. Joey let the cat out of the bag the other day that the machine would be bypassing an EP and going for a full length. So far production from Streetrunner, DJ Khalil & The Alchemist have been confirmed (I know a few others but can’t say yet… ohhhhh shit); and song titles like Not Tonight, Microphone, Number 1 and Cuckoo should be making the cut as well. Possibly the dopest list of features ever assembled on one album.

Following up on 2004’s critically acclaimed compilation 1st Infantry and last years Chemical Warfare EP, Alc’s new disc will feature a superstar guest list of MCs including Em, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Snoop Dogg, Pusha T, Juvenile and Twista, who appears on the lead single “Smile” with R&B singer Maxwell. Along with providing the gritty soundscape, the Beverly Hills bred beatsmith will also be spitting on the disc.

The Alchemist is currently on a promo tour with Em, serving as his DJ, where he has already performed at several stops in the UK and the U.S. including Em’s Relapse release party in Detroit earlier this week and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Alc also served as the Detroit rapper’s DJ in 2005 for the Anger Management 3 tour.

via MTV News. I need this immediately:

Kiss wants Kanye West and Cam’ron on the remix of his current single, “Who’s Fake,” and he already knows what producers’ beats he needs for his next album.

“I’m definitely going back in,” the Yonkers native said. “The D-Block album is wrapped up. I’mma make sure we finish this LOX album, and I’m coming right back at the end of the year. I think I’m gonna call it Top Five, Dead or Alive. I’m only gonna work with Primo [DJ Premier], Alchemist, Swizz Beatz, Dame Grease, sh– like that. Have a couple of South [producers], and that’s it. Wham!”

The Black Babe Ruth’s Last Kiss is far from over, though. He just shot a video for “Who’s Real” in Harlem last week, with OJ Da Juiceman and Swizz. T.I., Ja Rule, the Clipse, Grafh and Black Hand Entertainment were among the friends who came down for cameo appearances.

After that, ‘Kiss is going with the single “Smoking Gun” — featuring Jazmine Sullivan — to close out the album. A video is in the works. “Jazmine is gonna clean me up real good,” he said. “I already got sh– lined up in ‘Essence’ and ‘Sister 2 Sister’ — that’s a big joint. In Texas and out West, they spinning it real heavy. We gonna be all right with that one.”

Aside from music, ‘Kiss is hoping to get in contact with DMX, who was just released from jail in Arizona. “That’s my big homie,” Jada said of X. “I just wanna give him a hug, sit down and kick it with him.”

Jadakiss and Cam’ron’s “Big Bosses” Tour starts in the next few weeks. The two are working on a few new records to perform on the road.

Imagine: Your rap career comes to a screeching halt after you’re outed as a DEA snitch and your boss publicly fires you for failing to disclose the details of your past. Unfortunately for you, while all of this is playing out, you’re sitting in a Fulton County jail cell on felony charges of weapons possession and obstruction of justice. As it turns out, a week prior, you were stopped by cops who found a loaded pistol in your SUV and tried to arrest you. You, being the goon that you are, resisted arrest, were sprayed with pepper spray, chased, and hit with a baton before leaping 30 feet from a parking garage and shattering your ankle bone.

Alfamega, this is your life.

” ‘Cigar Music 2?’ ” a surprised Game asked. He hadn’t heard that the unfinished song had leaked and definitely was unaware of the reported title. “That’s crazy. Nah. I don’t even know. … That joint was for something else. I don’t even think Nas is on it. I think we was trying to get Nas on it. But it leaked?”

Game did confirm that he and Ross have been collaborating and even have a friendship. “Hey, man, me and Ross [working together], it ain’t got nothing to do with me and 50,” he said. “I ain’t even on 50’s head like that no more. You notice when [50] put his little dis song out, he left me out. You notice when 50 talks, he leaves me out of that sh–. I didn’t pick no sides in the 50/ Rick Ross beef.

Game is working on his new LP, The R.E.D. Album, out in L.A., and he’s already gotten down with Timbaland and Drumma Boy. The title of the LP signifies his re-dedication to rap (RE-Dedication) and is not trumpeting his Blood affiliation.

A few days ago, Game released an underground track called “Bang Along.” “N—as like that, man,” he boasted. “I threw that out as a little Frisbee.” There will be a whole slew of Game mixtapes this summer dropping before the official CD later this year.

Your twitter says different.

Press Release:

“Possibly the best posthumous rap record since the final releases of 2Pac and Biggie.” -
Rolling Stone Magazine

New York, NY—– By now most everyone is familiar with the story of musical legend J Dilla. The quiet, prolific producer collaborated with everyone from Eryka Badu to Common to Janet Jackson to Prince. Dilla was just beginning to capitalize on his cult status when he sadly passed at age 32 due to Lupus-related complications. Jay Stay Paid is a 28 track collection of unreleased Dilla beats mixed and arranged by Pete Rock. While mostly instrumental, “J$P” also offers a few guests vocals from artists that Dilla worked with or admired including Black Thought of The Roots, MF DOOM, Havoc of Mobb Deep, M.O.P. , Raekwon and more.

Curtailing any notion of jumping on some sort of Dilla bangwagon, Jay Stay Paid was executive produced by Dilla’s mother Maureen Yancey (aka Ma Dukes) along with the musical supervision of Dilla’s only real musical idol, Pete Rock. “It wasn’t rushed and it wasn’t haphazard,” explains Ms Yancey. “This album combines what he did in the beginning of his career, what he did in some of our early hospital stays, which was very deep, and some stuff pulled from old floppy disks & DATs. Its mind blowing…this is like the missing links to Dilla’s legacy.”

The format of the album plays like a radio show with Pete Rock as the program director. With regards to Pete’s involvement, Ms. Yancey gets very excited, “Dilla wanted to pattern himself behind Pete. His dream was to become as close as possible to what Pete stood for. Pete meant everything to him. Dilla would have just been flabbergasted! ” Pete’s sentiments were the same toward Dilla, “Dude was amazing. He just kinda came outta nowhere and the more you heard his beats the better they got. He may not be here with us, but it’s all good we’re going to keep his music alive and well.”

In the late 80s, Dilla founded the seminal rap group Slum Village and put Detroit hip-hop on the map, while the 90’s saw him playing a major role in the production team The Ummah with Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad doing extensive work on Tribe Called Quest’s last two albums.

What!?  You think I got it already!?

Will You Relapse, Blackout Or Get Back On Your Bullshit?

With the 19th of May slowly approaching, to hip hop heads, it kind of feels like a blockbuster summer of movies all wrapped into one day.  I personally can’t think of any other albums off the top of my head that are dropping this summer that I am more interested in than these albums that will be released on May 19th.

Eminem – Relapse

Method Man & Redman – Blackout 2

Busta Rhymes – B.O.M.B. (Back On My Bullshit)

DJ Drama – Gangsta Grillz 2 (The Album)

Which raises this question…  Who the fuck decides to release all of these on the same day!?

First you’ve got Em who hasn’t released a solo studio album in over 4 years.  I mean, this guy is the biggest selling hip hop artists of all time and you want to put your album out on the same date?  Are you out of your mind?

Second we have Amerika’s Most Blunted with Red & Meth back together for the first time in 10 years!  I’ve been waiting for this for I don’t even know how long.  Wait, yah I do.  It’s been 10 years.  Regardless to say, I really feel bad for these guys that the promotional effort on this is not what it shoudl’ve been and is being completely overshadowed by the release of Relapse.

The third listing is Busta’s much anticipated follow-up to Big Bang.  If you remember correctly, this album was originally suppposed to be titled BLESSED and it’s first single was the track with Linkin Park “We Made It”.  After that, Busta here had some label drama and rumors started flying that he had knocked out Jimmy Iovine at an event and since had been dropped from Interscope/Aftermath.  Well, no one I don’t know exactly what happened, but what I do know is, Busta is no longer on Aftermath and that’s why this title has a name change and that single dwindled away like Camp Lo in the late 90′s.

Lastly we have DJ Drama’s album.  A compilation of… well… mediocrity.  Let’s be honest.  No one truly cares about this after what I’ve just listed above.

So all that said, which album are you buying/downloading getting thru RapidShare on the 19th?
