Lupe Fiasco x Jay Electronica

In an upcoming interview with BrooklynBodega Jay Elect reveals that there might be a record in the works;
TCM: On Okayplayer there was a big debate — Lupe Fiasco vs Jay Electronica — going on. I know how I feel about it. I know everyone else knows how they feel about i. But when can we expect to hear y’all on a track together.
JE: We going to be no track together in the immediate future. That’s my brother. He reached out. I got bad phone etiquette so it took me a minute to reach back. But we gonna reach, we gonna talk. We’ve been in communication and we’re going to work. That’s my brother. And his sword is magnificent and he’s a great god at what he does, you know what I’m saying. We’re going to connect.
Speaking of Lupe, he has completed and turned in Lasers to Atlantic. He also revealed to Green Lantern that the long-delayed CRS project (Kanye x Lupe x Pharrell) might soon see the light of day.

[Audio] Jay Electronica & Just Blaze Interview w/ Ear Candy

Via: Nah Right
Jay Electronica and Just Blaze recently spoke to Renada Romain on her Ear Candy show on Hip Hop Nation/Sirius XM. In these 4 short clips, Jay talks about being compared to Nas, discusses the hold up on Act II, why they don’t necessarily feel rushed, and then Just explains why him and Jay’s credo’s differ when it comes to putting something out.
“People will say that now, and then when they hear it, it’ll stop.” – Just
[Video] Jay Electronica – Exhibit A
Directed by Jason Goldwatch of Decon for the film/music project that they’re doing with Jay Electronica’s The Dogon Society. You’ll notice that some of the footage was captured in Nepal at the same time as they shot “Dear Moleskine,” but Jay just hit me and said that some of it was from Dubai. This video comes on the night that Funkmaster Flex played “Exhibit A (Transformations)” on Hot 97:

[Audio] Jay Electronica & Just Blaze Explain Act II Delay

Hip-hop’s dynamic duo hit up DJ Green Lantern’s Invasion radio last night. Of course, they had to explain the status of Act II. Blame it on the… Nas verses?

[Mixtape] Furious Styles & DJ Dub Present: Jay Electronica – Victory

“In the current state of music, an artist like Jay (Electronica) deserves the attention of anyone who even THINKS they like Hip-Hop. We’re not saying that he’s the savior but he’s been working on the humble for years and Exhibit C opened him up to the world. World, meet Jay Electronica…support his victory for Hip-Hop.” – DJ Dub
“I truly believe that everyman has a story and Jay Electronica’s story is definitely the current soundtrack to Hip-Hop. He makes the impossible seem possible. Dub and I wanted to share his soundtrack with those that were unfamiliar. Let’s welcome back the lyricists to Hip- Hop.” – DJ Furious Styles

[Video] Joe Budden x Jay Electronica
After my snowboarding trip, I headed directly to see Joe Budden perform at S.O.B.’s and of course I had to harass him and Jay Electronica after the performance. I try to trick them into giving up information about their pending record deals, girlfriends, etc while they squirm their way out of every question. I sense a collaboration coming soon, right after the “Exhibit C” remix perhaps. Warning: Don’t take this too seriously…
